NT (New Type) is a genetically modified species created in Valkyrion (Ael’s mother’s world of birth). Their qualities are faster reflexes, better eyesight, agility, natural fighting and surviving aptitudes.

Nymphs are a kind of wind elemental. Naturally very graceful, they have a strong connection with their element (naturally wind, but Ael’s father had ice, a mix of wind and water) and are able to foresee, control, ‘talk with’, and send messages through it. They also have a very sharp hearing sense.

As a mixed breed, Ael got a few traits from each species, though not all of them. He inherited the NT improved eyesight and is winged like his mother, and has the vast elemental control and magic aptitude from the nymph side. His elements are wind and water (the main is wind), the same as his father’s but not mixed into ice.

World: Aria.
Aria is what can be called a  ‘fantasy-styled’ world, where humans live along elves, faeries and tons of other sentient species and fantastical animals - besides the pure races, the number of half-breeds is also considerably large, making it so around half the population have some kind of mix in their genes (that’s what allows to exist humans with blue hair or purple eyes, for example). The government works under a special type of monarchy, where Regency families rule each country while the world Empress rules over them. They also tend to see social status as merely a job: nobles receive salary and pay taxes like any citizen and there’s no difference of personal treatment between an Earl and a gardener.
Regarding technologic machinery, Aria has the equivalent to Earth during the centuries XVI to XVIII, but compensates fully on the magic field and there can be found many advanced magic dispositives used on daily life that wouldn’t otherwise be possible due to the current science level, from teleporting ways of transport to fully-functional prosthetic limbs.

Aria is currently deemed “lost” for travels and contact is restricted, thanks to the effect of the time rifts that surround and engulf it: 85% of its total geographic area is completely out of reach, and the lasting space remains partially affected (both entering and fleeing is theoretically impossible) and external communication severely compromised - with a short instant message requiring months to arrive.

Story:
Ael was born along his twin brother Gerald, in a noisy day of autumn. Noisy because when you have two crying newborns instead of one the sound tends to get higher. But despite the identical faces, the twins had nothing alike - except for the mutual affection towards their family.
Ael was named after one of his father's best friends and assumed worldtraveler, Aegnor (an ethari from Gthern Atiel), along his younger sister Elanor who was born a couple years later, for the distaste of the boy since all he wanted was to live a nice, comfortable life as far from adventures as he could get.
Physically speaking Ael also holds a very strong resemblance to his father, being the most athletic-looking among his blood-related siblings even though he's the laziest of them all. That also means he's relatively heavier than his twin and needs more strength and effort to fly than he does; the fact can be proved as when he's in the air the wings motion resemble way more the blurred ultra-fast flapping of a hummingbird than the soaring of a crow. He doesn't mind the extra effort though (that's probably the only case where extra work is welcome to him) as he considers roaming the skies is worth more than enough.

Ael's mother disappeared during his teen days after a huge timerift started expanding though all Aria, but regarding that he remained relatively calm. Panic would help nothing, and as his oldest brother Clotho left the world to investigate what was happening Ael found he could be a better support to rest of his family if kept himself from worrying too much. And so he finished his studies at the knights academy with reasonable grades and was hired for a temporary job as an assistant at the royal castle's infirmary until the time his grandmother would pass the seat of Regent to him (technically it should be Clotho's but Clotho was not there anymore)... irony of fate made it that Ael, too, was zapped onto Novus'Olum along his brother and sisters once the rifts in Aria expanded more.
Once in N'O he found a huge and ultra fluffy pomeranian puppy who started following him everywhere; Ael always wanted a fluffy pet and adopted the puppy, naming him Dandelion, and joined the Monster Taming Division so that he could give Dandelion a decent home since his mom's home wasn't proper for it due to... well, his mom. At the very least they could find their mother again, but Ael is way more worried about his world than he lets it show.

Personality:
+ Smart: He’s not very fond of studying but has a quick thinking process. His logic lines of thought help fastening it even more.
+ Organized: Ael always knows where things are (except if someone put them out of place), and keeps his lodgings and workplaces as tidied up as he can manage.
+ Coherent/Logical thinking: Extremely good with riddles and logic problems, and can arrive to solutions faster than most people - although those solutions are not always exactly orthodox.
- Self-centered: He cares about people and doesn’t mind sharing things, but in matter of priority he thinks of himself before anyone else.
- Teasing: Likes to put people on the edge and test their moral endurance. He’s not suicidal though, and only does that when guesses he won’t get killed/maimed for it.
- Unforeseeable: In one day he might be the type who would fight to the death in a battle, and on the next he’ll be fleeing to safety. Or says he’s not hungry, while stuffing his cheeks with bread. Despite his thinking being very rational, his actions are not and it’s impossible to know what he’ll do next.

•Thinks he’s the only sane person among his living blood relatives, not counting his grandmother Nagini.
•Dotes on said grandmother as much as she dotes on him and will do absolutely anything she asks even if it would normally go on his hated stuff list.
•His mother was engulfed by a time rift and went missing (on truth she was brought to Novus’Olum) when he was young. When he heard the news, the first measure he took was getting a tattoo on his face.
_{Note: Tatoos in Aria are removable through magic and he did that because was tired of being mistaken for his twin brother Gerald. Once his wings changed color enough to avoid the confusion, he got rid of the tatoo.}
